Ok, I think I am going to have a problem with Imperial Elegance really soon. I received a notecard from Azure Islands (the owners of the sim IE is located on), stating that the land was going to be going through some changes. Well.... Huge changes. The reason I moved IE to Glenn, is because I loved the prefab/commercial zone they have there. I didn't need to shop for a new store or anything because one was already there.
Well. Now they are getting rid of them. Which really sucks for me. Now I will have to go shopping for a prefabricated store. -.- I am not really happy about this, because of several reasons.
- Prefab shopping. I hate it and have no idea where to begin looking.
- Now people are free to build whatever ugly monstrosities they want.
- I am lazy and REALLY don't want to re-do my entire store.
- I dislike changes.
- The land my store is on will go up in volume slightly.
- For an extra $75L a week, I will receive around 300 more prims.
- I will no longer need the floor and wall prims to cover prefab ugliness.
- I will have terraforming abilities.
- I will now be able to create a lower level for more things.

awww... poor lamb! But Sai, they do say that a change is nearly as good as a holiday and if your home-hunting/decorating is anything to go by, then I can't wait to see what you do with the store!
PS: did you change the blog-template or have I just noticed how stunning the header is? :)

Oh that is terrible... I mean, it COULD be good, but I loved the area where your store is because of its simplicity. Hopefully it doesn't get all crazy looking. I mean, even if it did, I'd still pop right into your store, but I wouldn't go walking around to look at the others. lol

I hate moving in SL! Almost as much as RL. Trying to line everything up again...GRRR! Especially, my kitchen cabinets!

I hate prefab shopping too. I've been trying to shop for a house and have been woefully unsuccessful!
/me commiserates with Sai

Ew, that's a bummer.. hopefully your neighbors won't go nuts with icky builds. >.<
OnRez is a good spot to window shop. I love Minke Bailey's prefabs, they are adorable.. but a bit on the small side. They are mod/copy though so when I was using one I ended up smooshing two of them together to get the size I wanted.

Why would the want to do that??? I love sims like Armidi who have a very stylish commercial zone. It's much nicer to see it all fit together than crazy people with crazy shops! T__T
Even though they have given you terraforming rights and more prims *gulp* W what if everybody starts to do terraforming? W well - I wish you the best of luck! I hope it won't change too much for you ...
And yeah it's stupid to change something that so works!

Amethyst - Heh, I haven't changed my header in a few months XD
Alicia - Yep, I loved the simplcity as well... *sigh* /me goes to a corner and sobs.
Terri - Zomg. SL moving is probably worse than RL! So much stress, re-aligning things, fears of SL eating favorite furnitures on rez... *gah!*
Quaintly - TT_TT Sad part is - there are not that many *great* prefab designers out there. So, you see the same prefabs all over, and if you don't like any of them, you are SOL. TT_TT
Fricka - I have tried Onrez and SLX, but I get so frustrated with it... you literally have to sort through thousands of prefabs to find one you really like... and that is a bit intimidating to me T_T
Cecille - Yep, that is my fear - ugly terraforming and even uglier buildings. T_T I do plan on waiting it out for a few weeks to see how ugly it will be. I will have to decide then if I want to move IE or not. -.-
