It's getting closer and closer to Halloween! I've been working quite a bit on my store things, as I have a couple of events to participate in. A hunt, and I'm donating a prize to the Carver's End thing! So, I've been really working on those, and a release as well. I've been working on a couple of other things, as well!

I entered our home into the House to House Trick or Treating, and we've been decorating like crazy! It's a constant work in progress, as more and more things come out the closer we get to Halloween. I keep adding stuff! I'm wondering what is too much and where the line is between awesome and tacky. Haha!

This is about where our trick or treater families will land! I love it, it's so adorable! Gives a good view of the house, I think! And it reminds me just how much I love having a driveway! I am not a fan of Halloween, really, so I never really bought anything for decorating before. I tend to buy pumpkins that are uncarved, or hay bales, things that can also be used for Thanksgiving decor as well. I'm much more into Thanksgiving than I am into Halloween! But anyway, I hope I'm doing this holiday right!


And the entrance, all fancy decorated! I've been way from SL for a long time, mesh was really just beginning to come out when I left. So, coming back, I had *nothing* mesh to decorate with! I had to buy everything new to decorate this year with, and quite frankly, I have so many decorations now that I know what to do with! I'd be happy if I never see another pumpkin again at this point. LOL!

So, the Zanzibar's and the Oleander's had their official Sim-Warming party on Wednesday night! Lolita has been working making their sim beautiful for a little while now. It was finally finished, they finished moving in their homes - so of course they held a party for everyone to come, have fun and tour their newly-designed sim!

It really did not disappoint. Their sim is gorgeous, photogenic, and it's really well done. I keep saying that Lolita needs to change her career into sim design! Every sim she's done is absolutely stunning! Anyway, the party was so much fun, we had a great time! Bluebonnet has always held a special place in my heart, as some people who read my blog might know, I used to live there! And, it's also where Jeffry and I shared our first land together. I have always loved Bluebonnet.


We actually invited our current Heritage trial, Yuna, to come with us. I know she's shy, but she really handled the event like a champ. She was lagging a lot, and didn't talk much, but that's okay! I was still really, really happy that she came with us, and met all of our friends as it was the first time anyone else had met her. Milestones!

Eventually, Yuna logged off for the night, and the party continued. Of course, like many of their parties... it turned crazy. Somehow, it turned into a tour of the sim while riding in cars. Me, hearing that Lolita was one of the best drivers of their families, I opted to ride with her. LOL! Jeffry, flat out refused to go driving with us, saying "this doesn't look like a good idea." I probably should have listened to him.


I got a gif a little too late, all the craziness had already happened, but still! I wanted one to remember the night. The cars never rezzed fully for me, but, it was an incredible night of speeding through Bluebonnet, picking up kids who somehow fell out of someone's car, and watching Takeo park his car like a pro. That night, I literally laughed until I cried.

You ever have a whole bunch of stuff to do, but prefer to not do them? That's me, lately. I've been terribly sick for the past month, and it's getting progressively worse. Because of it, I've been really slacking on a lot of things that need to be done. Our sim will host it's first wedding in a couple weeks, and I still have a lot to do. They'll be using our barn for their wedding, and they may want to have a dance party afterwards. So, I've needed to get our dance area done. I've been really not looking forward to it, mainly because I have some uhh..... naughty animations in my Intan Couple Dance Ball, and I didn't want to search through all the animations to find the naughty ones. I don't want to have them out for the wedding, and I also want to keep our sim child friendly, because we are trying to adopt a child.

Anything with that dance ball is a nightmare. I hate updating it, adding dances, configuring it, modifying it to look better, everything. I don't like it. I hate dealing with it. But, well. It needed to be done! I finished the couple's ball, and realized I don't have a solo ball. GAH! I tried many scripts from the this awesome library of scripts, and didn't find one that worked the way I wanted it to. You'd think after majoring in computer programming in college, I'd know a little more about SL scripting. But nope! Never even wanted to learn it. Once, I found myself at the College of Scripting, looked around... and went "NOPE." Too overwhelming for me. Anyway, I ended up buying a full perm ball for L$1 on the marketplace, and modified it quite a bit. It looks presentable, and works just how I want it to. Of course, I needed to test it out.

I spent waaaaayyyy too much time, just dancing. I need to look into setting up another DJ table - this one belongs to Jeffry, and isn't all that attractive looking for the sim. It doesn't quite fit in well. But, he liked the animations in it. So, I gotta do that, put animations in the new DJ table.... Ugh.  feel like I'm going to get all this done, just in time to turn the sim into the fall season. LOL! Speaking of - I think I need to start looking into pumpkins and fall things, because it's getting closer to that time!

I've also been trying to teach myself how to DJ! I want to eventually DJ in a club, so I purchased my own stream to practice on my land. I play a lot of country, which is the music I really enjoy. My husband hates it, so I do it while he's at work! I'll just need to gather my courage up to apply to be a DJ at some country club!

We are talking boats today! I have always loved having a boat on my land, even if it's really a waste of prims. I don't care about driving it, I really just love the look of having a boat. Purely for display, and they make fabulous props to take photos on, or around. Boats in SL are really beautiful, and SecondLife is all about what makes you happy, right?

A long, long time ago, I first decided that I wanted a boat. I searched, and came across this beauty. At the time, it was top of the line, and one of the best. It has made several appearances on this blog, one even dating back to July, 2008.  I paid a lot of $L for it at the time, though I can not remember how much exactly anymore. I still think it's gorgeous... even now. I'd be happy to keep it out, and continue to enjoy it... however, this boat is 205 prims. It's made mostly of actual primitives, and it looks like the only sculpty parts in this boat are the seats. You really have to appreciate the beauty of a creation like this, how creative people can get with just the tools they have available to them at the time. This boat, I feel is a fantastic example of that.

Because of the high prim count, I decided to look into getting a new boat, and doing a little "updating." The first place that I wanted to look at, was obviously where I originally purchased this boat, MaxMarine. I looked up the creator in-world, hoping that he was still around and making boats. Unfortunately, I don't think he is. A little disappointed, but that's okay, there are many more boats in SL!


I started just flying around some of the popular boating sims, with the intention of looking at the variety of different boats out there. However, the first sim I visited, I came across a boat, docked on someone's land. Intsa-love. I felt like this was a really close version to the MaxMarine boat I came to adore. So, I inspected it, found who created it, and off I teleported to their store. Bonus was that it's only 50 land impact!

I found myself at A.E. Worx.  I ran around, searching for this boat, got hit by 2 automated forklifts in the process, but I found it. And it looked even more gorgeous than it did on the boating sim. The price was $2,250L. There was a point in SL, when I wouldn't have cared, I had a very reasonable linden income from running ImpEle, but now - the RL Jeffry buys $L's for us, and I have to make my little "allowance" that he gives me last for a couple of weeks. But even still, I decided to purchase it. Imagine my glee, when I go to pay the boat vendor, and it comes up saying $899L! Sold! I couldn't pay it fast enough.

I rezzed it once back on my sim, and realized just how spectacular it is. It's tintable to literally any color, it's got a really fabulous control panel, and drives beautifully. It's even got particle waves that splash out when you start driving it. I don't really intend on driving it, but it's still cool that I can if I want to.


While I was tinting it, and getting it ready to drive... Jeffry started playing the "I'm on a boat!" song. So, I had to find the most ridiculous dance I had, to go with that music. Needless to say, we both ended up changing into our swimwear, and dancing on the boat to that song. I totally took a video on it. Was definitely one of the silliest things I have done in SL for a while. It was totally worth it though, I was practically rolling on the floor laughing.

So, I am still alive! I've been so busy lately, omg. My RL roommate has been in the hospital for the past week, in and out of ICU, so I've been hanging around up there while he was up there. Then I had to get poses done in time for the Bunny Hop hunt, and finish my store's releases for tomorrow. I've been busy busy, I was glad to finally have a little bit of a rest last night.

After seeing loads of pictures of those AIFriends kitties, I came across a picture of one of the corgi's they released before the kittens. And then I was reminded I had one of those corgi's. Since November 14th, to be exact. I remember I stopped playing with the corgi I had because it always insisted on attaching to me whenever IT wanted to, which annoyed the crap out of me. So, its been hiding in my inventory. But last night, I updated it to the newest version, which appears to have stopped the random attaching. :D

And, I finally see how adorable these dogs are. I am having a nightmare of a time resisting the call of the kittens as well. I think the only thing stopping me from buying a kitten, is that I can't decide which breed to buy! :O I love the silver tabby, the bengal and the siamese - they all look so adorable. Though, I can't get all of them, because I think the sim owner (and my neighbors) would hate me. xD


I think the corgis look the cutest while sleeping though. But then again, don't all dogs? I have several dogs from different places like Zooby's, Petz, Vooner, and VKC, but none seem to have the interactive-ness as these AIFriends animals. Which, make them more fun. I like giving them baths, feeding them, and playing ball with them. :D


On a side note, I've been reworking my AO quite a bit, trying to find lesser-known places to buy animated stands from. I managed to find some super cute place with the most adorable stands, walks, and poses I've ever seen. Since I make poses, I very rarely buy any anymore - but some of their poses were so cute, I just HAD to buy them. And, the one shown above just happens to be my new favorite pose. :D

But, I finally got my AO the way I like it, its silly at times, cute, and I love it. I'm finally glad I got acutal animations that I like and fit my avatar better than most. They aren't perfect, but still manageable. I don't lose hands in my boobs or butt like other animations do. \o/

I am a bit late on posting this - sorry! Yesterday was a giant swarm of things, from giving tours of my home, to picking an outfit for hump day, to perfecting the build I put together for the hump day party last night. But, anyway. Yesterday's challenge was (from Alicia's blog):

In SL, we're often afraid of looking silly. I've noticed this more with bloggers than with anyone else. Why have you made your avatar look the way it does? What does it mean to you? Do you think people respond to you differently if you're attractive? Today, put on something just totally crazy. It can be a funny avatar, a crazy outfit, weird hair, or just some bling-blangin' jewelry. Go out in public, see if anyone has anything to say about it. See if you think of yourself differently if your avatar isn't perfect looking. Don't forget to take a picture of your outfit!!

My avatar is made to be what I wish I was in RL. I created her with the thought that SL is a world where I can do everything I can't do in RL. In RL, I am constantly dreaming of being able to wear really cute shorts, miniskirts, beautiful gowns and the like - however, I don't have the body to wear them. So, Sai wears what I can't in RL, and she was created for it.


Surprisingly - its meant a lot to me. Before SL, I was fashion clueless (and, for the most part, I still am) in RL. When talking to someone, and they mentioned fall colors, stilettos and pumps, my eyes would gloss over and I'd get all confused. @_@ Because SL follows the same RL fashion trends, and my avatar follows them - I find myself able to follow fashion trends now, in both SL and RL. I still can't wear what my avatar does - I still find enjoyment that I can wear awesome things in at least one life. And that, means quite a bit to me. My avatar has become an extension of who I am.


For the challenge - I went out as a cat avatar. I was actually hanging out at the Katat0nik chair last night, and remembered the challenge. So - I changed into the avatar right there, and as soon as the avatar parts rezzed for me, I had gotten an IM asking where I got the avatar, and how cute it was. I stayed there for a bit, and got about 3 more IMs telling me that the avatar was cute.

I actually enjoy going around as a tiny, or some kind of animal creature. I wish I could do it more often, but with people and their no-script zones, I can't do that. I'd rather not TP into a place, wearing a tiny avatar, with skinny human legs poking out through the bottom. If people would take off their no srcipt zone (WHY would you put no scripts anyway? Pointless.), I would be wearing these type of avatars more often. Why? Because they are cute and adorable :D

I attended Alicia's birthday party last night, and it was filled with all sorts of craziness XD It started out with dancing, and eventually moved on to onigokko. (Because, you know I am onigokko-addicted.)

Yay! Sunsets! Someone mentioned at the party how nice it looked during the sunset, so I had to try it - and it looked very pretty ^^


Its easy how a party can go from Fun to Crazy. Especially when Meara has to break out the Stay-Puft avatar - it makes me laugh soooooooo hard every single time I see it. And then - her onigokkoing in that.... omg XD


Here's my group onigokko video! A few notes: I have no idea what happened to the quality on this one. This was the first time I loaded Fraps onto this computer since the restore, and I think I did something wrong during capturing. Also, I have no idea who was doing the farting gestures/noises, and I tried to block them out - but I failed. Sorry XD And speaking of - Fraps is finally letting me capture sounds now o.O; Seriously, wth? Also my first attempt at moving the camera while recording - so, sorry if its choppy and funky looking :D

So, Happy Birthday, Alicia!

OMG - I bought a SL car. My original intentions with it was to run over Laleeta when I seen her again, as payback for running me over with her Aston Martin, but I found myself quite amused with it. I don't really have enough land space on my island to really play with this vehicle, so I took it to my most favorite sandbox to play with it. :D And you guessed it - machinima happened. XD

Ok, yeah, I am a crazy driver. But - it was my first time EVER driving a SL car, in my year I've been here. XD Oh. and, its also good to note that this was only in FIRST gear, before I realized I could go faster. And omg. When I switched gears, the car went soooooooo out of control, I had suddenly found myself in the middle of the next sim over. O.o; Oops.


Seems its better just to look at than drive it. I took it to a racetrack so I could get a picture of it, and was suddenly hit with an inspiration. This picture just *screams* "I need a sexah woman to pose next to me!" So, poses with cars will be coming. This pose idea should be extremely easy to do for me. I have been to more car shows than I can count, and have several years worth of Import Tuner and Hot Rod magazines. Most of which - feature beautiful women posing provocatively near a tricked out car. XD


After I wrecked my pretty Chevy Corvette, Kagic logged on, and I went to give him a tour of some beautiful ballrooms. I love getting dressed up in pretty formals, so I took this opportunity to dress in my favorite gown. ^^ We visited the beautiful Paradise Falls, the elegant Avilion Grove ballroom, and the very golden Tempura Island ballroom. All of which are my favorite places to dance now (aside from my own home), for some quiet dancing time with him :D I gave him a fashion show of my newest lingerie that I purchased from the Beachwear/Lingerie Expo, and he logged off shortly after ^^


Then, a few Ch'Know girls met up at the Viper Pit. What started off as anger and tension (I won't go into anything other than that, in respect to those involved), we ended it being our total, goofy selves. XD Someone passed around this weird thing called an onigokko_shippo - and once you wore it, you ran around in circles with arms failing around and all. OMG, with a bunch of us doing it together, it was absolutely hilarious. This was probably the first time in SL that I actually laughed until I cried. Next time we all get together and do this, I'm totally grabbing a machinima of it. You really have to watch it to really laugh XD

Though, I have to admit, I was extremely depressed when I got home and tried it out by myself for some extra laughs, I couldn't get it to work. I have no idea how to work the thing XD

After seeing Meara with her super-cute fishing pole at the Hump Day Party, I decided to try out the fishing thing. I read the tips in my last post, bought myself a pro pole, some bait, and parked my bum to fish. It was surprisingly amusing! It appears to be something to do in between IMs, kind of like Tiny Empires. Which is great, because I can play Tiny Empires and fish while sorting inventory.

Seriously, I liked it so much, I even splurged and got myself one of those fishing kits, so I can use it on my own land! XD Its a fun little thing to do - as soon as I can think of a reasonably interesting name for my land, I might request to put it on the fishing area page of the official website.


What I love most about this - the things you catch are so cute! Like, I expected the fish to be little craptastic 1 prim photos that I see so often. But no, these are cute, full prim ones. Someone definitely spends a lot of time making these, which makes me keep coming back to fish. I always can't wait to see what I am going to get next.


I liked fishing so much, I even made myself a pose to put at the end of my dock! XD The head moves, as well as the right arm, so you can cast freely :D (BTW, If you want this pose for your fishing needs, feel free to IM me in-world, and I'll drop it on you :D)
