So, some big things happened this morning. The major thing: Kamian and I - are no more. It was a fun time for me, but apparently, we were not "compatible", as he put it. So, he ended it with me, to go off to find his own happiness. I don't blame him, or myself - it just wasn't working out, I guess.

Tonight, I decided to be silly and dress in something totally fabulous, and dance around in my new, still empty skybox (which, BTW - I am incredibly pissed off that I *STILL* haven't gotten a response back from the creator about). I won't remain sad, I won't cry about it, and I will feel better eventually. But for right now, I want to thank that particular person who sat and listened to me rant for a long time tonight - she knows who she is. :D

I haven't been around here much, mainly because I got another house. Since my computer came, I am able to come back down on land, away from the annoying moon and the skybox. So, I purchased another house, so I can come back down to land.

The house I liked, I lived in before - as a rental. But I loved it when I lived in it, so I decided to purchase it. Kamian wasn't fond of the texturing though, so I've been obsessed with retexturing it lately. It's been difficult to find a texture that we agree on, but I believe we found one - so I've been aligning textures, and all that stuff. I shall share a couple pictures I took.

This is the front of the house, it has like, doors on every room, two doors in front, and a back door. So many doors to open and close, omg @_@ But, I still like the layout of the house, I think its great, which is apparently what Kamian liked about it too. :D


I love my ocean view, and I love my houses to have ocean views even more. I had to take out a wall so I can see the ocean here. :D


My boat. OMG, I *will* keep this boat out for as long as I absolutely can. It's 205 prims, so I rarely get to keep it out. So, I'm going to try my hardest to go low prim with furnishing this house. xD

And OMFG! Twilight comes out at 12:01am tonight! *does happy dance*

So I textured my silly creation! I slapped textures on the walls and floors, and had a huge epic fail. I tried texture aligners, grid textures, everything to get them aligned. It just would NOT align, I was so irritated. I worked on it all day, all evening, all night, and just as I was ripping out the last strand of hair on my head, Kamian came on, textured one wall and a window for me. He showed me a little trick I had no idea about, and it made it much more manageable to me. So, I was able to finish the rest of it myself. :D And, I am ridiculously proud of it, still.

May main concern is that it might be too dark. It has black walls, black floors, I dunno how people will react to that. When I textured it, I wanted to keep the name of the store in mind: Imperial Elegance, so it had to be elegant looking. I think I might have accomplished that.


I even made the sides look pretty. :D


This, is my favorite part of the build, no doubt. I was looking for some lame-o prim curtains to put behind this desk, and came across these awesome sculptie curtains. OMG, they are so beautiful, I'll be using them all over the build now. They even follow the "elegant" theme I had going. I think this is a perfect place to put the picks rewards gift, and my update group board. I love them. A lot. The only bad thing about them though, is that they are 6 prims for the curtain set. :/ But, I think they are worth it.

I even retextured the desk to match the rest of the build. It was only $50L from The Loft, and fully mod. It was perfect for the type of desk I had in mind. :O


I also plan on using those amazing curtains for all the windows as well. I couldn't do all the windows right now, because I ran out of spare prims. (I think I have 4 spare prims on my land as of this minute) :O

Yes, I know. Glow. I did kinda want to make the stairs look a bit lighted though. I think it looks nice, kinda? XD


As for the upstairs, I'm kinda meh about it. I don't think I like the semi-transparent wall thing. I might take them down and put a rod in to hang more curtains. That might be over doing the curtains though. Hmm. And yes. That really is carpet on the ceiling. It was meant to just get rid of the annoying plywood until I can find a better texture... but, now I'm starting to like it up there. Just don't look closely at it XD

So yeah, I'm extremely proud of it, and I think its awesome. I'm very impatient, and its killing me not to drop it down in to the store right now. I hate that I don't have more spare prims to complete it before I drop it down, but I don't think I have any more of a choice.

Last night, I was extremely bored. And tired. With the combination of those two things, nothing good ever comes from it. So, I had the idea in my head to create a skybox. I needed something pretty and inspirational to work in, so I started building.

Normally the thought of building something would make my stomach turn, but Kamian has been giving me little lessons. (Ok, maybe only 2 tiny lessons), but I still felt confident enough to make a box. I mean, that's all skyboxes are, right - textured boxes?

Well. Once I made the box, I was still bored, and completely unsatisfied with how it looked. I then added more things, and more things, until it started looking like a store :O So my course was changed, and I continued the skybox with a store layout in mind.

Turns out, I seriously love it. The more I look at it, the more sense it makes to me, to make it my new main store. It has places for everything I need, and even has a fancy idiot-proof staircase that I always love.

Of course, I still have a lot of things to do, if I plan on keeping this. And, I kinda actually ran out of prims above my store at the point of taking this picture, so I can't really do much more until I figure out what to do about making more prims available. But, I still really like it.

I dragged Kamian in world last night to show him, and he seemed impressed that the prim-phobic Sai was actually able to make this on her first attempt at building. xD


If I do manage to make this my store, I think this center wall would be perfect to put the update group board, picks rewards, and free AOs... and the other side of it - put the new releases. OMG, seriously, the more I look at it, the more I love the layout. Its like, borderline perfect.


I really am proud of myself for making this. And I'm even more grateful to Kamian, who taught me a little bit on how to build. :D

So Kamian and I visited the Cologne Cathedral the other day. It's so beautiful, and just as awesome as the pictures show. I seen it on someone's flickr stream, and thought, omg there is NO way it looks like that in world. But, it really does.

It appears to be modeled after the real life Cologne Cathedral, located in Germany (which I didn't even know existed until right now, when I googled it XD).


I love architecture like this, so I could not stop taking pictures. I just absolutely loved this build.


Yet another picture, another camera angle. This cathedral was huge, primmy, and spanned a huge portion of the sim.


It had a sim next to it with some sort of little garden area, it was very pretty. It had fountains and hedges and stuff as well.


Even had a little piano off to the side of the cathedral. Unsure what it would be used for, but it was still really pretty.

However, the most beautiful part of the cathedral was the inside. It was pretty empty, but it was still stunning.

It felt so good to actually get out and explore again. I've been stuck inside my SL home for so long because of my crappy computer, and Kamian and I had plans to visit this cathedral since before PC died. So, I was really happy to finally get to go. ^^


I had fun, and got some great pictures, I hope Kamian did as well. :D

So, a few days ago, I invited myself to the Ch'know inventory sorting party. Its been a while since I did anything with the Ch'know girls, and ever since my computer took a crash fall, I've felt disconnected from them and kinda like the odd one out.

So, it was nice to actually get out and do something with them. Any sort of parties Ch'know has usually ends up in dancing in some really strange clothes, or even stranger avatars and attachments. And yes - that is Pumpkin back there with the crazy disco hair xD


I also seen this silly piece of furniture that when I laid eyes on it, I said OMFG and HAD to buy. Its like, a giant dog bed with pillows. It has singles sits and couples sits - and I just LOVE it.I'm not sure why, but when I see my avatar sitting in it, the RL Sai feels comfortable and cozy too xD


My time with Kamian has been quite limited lately, because our schedules are quite different. I was totally happy because I got to spend some time with him last night in my new favorite piece of furniture. :D


I even snapped another picture. :D I seriously love this sofa / bed thing. The poses are adorable, the sheet thingie changes with the poses, and I can sit in it by myself without looking silly.

So, I've been complaining in like, every blog post for the past month - I've been having serious computer issues, and am in desperate need of a new computer. Well, I has news! My new computer has been ordered from Dell, and is estimated to be delivered in a little over 2 weeks! \o/

I am unbelievably excited, because I really need my PC to do like, anything. I'll be able to go through hunts again, stalk lucky chairs again, explore, walk and shop again. Best part is - new computer should even be better than old PC, because I ordered a faster processor and stuffs too. :D Thanks to Kamian, who helped me decide. ^^

In the time that I've been without my PC, I've taken up a little bit of photo editing. Its a good way to pass the time, when I'm unable to log into SL because I'm frustrated with it. Even if I'm no good at it xD I shall share a few pictures :D

I do like taking pictures of Kamian and I. I rarely get to see him anymore, partly because of my PC problems, so when I am around, I try to get pictures ^^



This looks more like a Glamour Shot than anything else. xD I had a coupon code thing for Renderosity, and I always admired those people who make amazing pictures with that Instant Hair stuff. So, I managed to purchase myself some of that hair, and this was my first attempt at using it. :D It originally started off as a "lets see if I can get the hair on right" then, happened to turn into a full blown attempt at post processing xD

I love the Renderosity hair though, and I think I might go buy more packs of it if I get a little extra spare monies later :D

A couple more weeks, I'll be up to posing again, exploring and will be in-world much more often again \o/ I'm sooooo excited that I'm finally able to see the light at the end of this annoyingly dark tunnel :D

OMG, I've changed houses again! This time, I'm trying a skybox, for a variety of reasons, one of which is because with my computer issues, I get less of a slideshow being pretty high up.

So, I dragged Kamian around with me, looking at houses, skyboxes and furniture, trying to find something we both will like. We finally settled on one, and made it our own by doing a little editing of it. My main problem with this house was, its a 2 rooms bigger than what I'm used to, and the rooms were set up quite obviously - dining room and kitchen, the two room are rooms I hate furnishing. I can never find good dining room sets (omg, they are so expensive!), and kitchens are ALWAYS no mod, and are never in the shape or color I have in mind.

However, one of the many awesome things about living with a builder is, he is always willing to build me stuffs. :P So, after much thinking, I took him up on his offer to make me a kitchen :D

It's totally awesome. I was hesitant to let him build me a kitchen at first, because they are so complicated and would take days to finish - and I feel bad asking him to do something for me that would take that long. But, he had this completely done in like, 30 minutes. :O


And, seeing how awesome and quick to build the kitchen was, I gave him a second task of making a dining room set too. P Its quite primmy, but I still love it. He's always so patient when listening to my requests, its kinda scary. XD

A little side note - I actually changed the land title of my home to include Kamian. :D Instead of Sai's home, it now says Sai and Kamian's Home. We are there for the majority of the time we are together, so its only fitting, right? :D

I do plan on taking more pictures of the house once it gets completely furnished and everything, so a big post on that will be coming soon :D
