Last post, I showed the blog the outside of my home, today, we'll explore the inside! Yay! Keep in mind that I have a small-ish prim budget, so I don't have as many decorations as I'd like, but really, who does? Anyway, on to the inside!

My living room. I'm slowly replacing things and adding new things constantly, my inventory is pretty outdated, from being out of SL for so long. But as I hit more sales, and events, the bigger it grows, and more possibilities I have. I LOVE the french doors leading into this room, they really do open like real french doors!

The wall has a bunch of pictures, detailing various bits of our SL journey together.


Next, we move into my dining room. I had a smallish set from LAQ to match the bookshelves, but when I went to the Trompe Loeil sale earlier in the week, I fell absolutely in love with this dining room. Honestly, I probably would have been fine with my old set, but once I saw the paisley tablecloth.... it was mine. There is never enough paisley in the world for me. And naturally, I had to get the matching chairs, right? Currently looking for a beautiful set of mesh flowers to finish this room out.


Kitchen. Yes, yes. It's small, sad and uneventful. However, why waste prims when I don't cook in the first place? It's functional for heating up leftover prim takeout, that's all I need! Again, another sale purchase.


The staircase that leads upstairs. Every girl needs a washer and dryer, right!? These are very old cube versions, I'm holding out until I find some fabulous mesh ones to replace these!


Upstairs is a series of 3 rooms. When I first rezzed the house, I gave Jeffry an option to pick a room. He is scripting in world now, and doesn't like to pick up his prims. No one like random plywood cubes scattered around their land! So, as long as he's in his room, I won't complain. And that's what he does. Rezzes prims. Soon, there will be so many boxes on the floor, I wont be able to open the door.


Across the hall from his mancave, is the bedroom. Lots of seating, for lots of photo taking. I like this room!


And as for the last room upstairs, another work in progress! This is the bathroom, still adding to this room as well!

Trompe Loeil is having a huge 50% off sale on everything for the next few days, and I went yesterday as soon as I heard about it. When the news came to me, the only words that came out of my mouth was... "Oh, no." Being out of SL for so long, the one thing you notice is that your inventory is extremely outdated, including furniture. Decorating a house is terrible when all you have is sculpted prims. Now there's mesh, and everything is so low prim. I feel like all my furniture now is a waste of prims. This sale was awesome, and well timed for me!

I spent way too much linden. My husband kept telling me to leave that place, but I couldn't help it! It did not help the situation that we had just gotten a new mesh house, and I needed things to fill it.

One of the most awesome things I bought from the sale was this incredible hanging outdoor bed. I love it! However, one of the best buys that I got, was that the Country Pavillion was set to $150L, and with the sale, it was still half off of that! So incredible, I am so happy with what I bought, and I feel like my new prefab is a little more up to date then what it was! Even Jeffry took a break from scripting to try out the new outdoor bed with me.

I went to restart the sim my husband (eee! Haha, I'm such a dork) and I live on, and needed a place to go for a few minutes.... so I decided to go to Redgrave and check out if they have any new shoes. Little did I know... I wouldn't even make it to the shoes, instead I'd be standing there trying on skin demos.

I've always liked Redgrave skins. I love the cleavage on them, and the shininess of the body... well, shininess on the paler bodies, the orange colored skin tone with the shine always looks a little dirty to me. The faces look sooo cute one most people. But never me. At one point, I tried every single skin in the store, but still couldn't make them work on me.

Well, I had some time to spare, and I picked up a couple demos again, and tried them on. I came to one of the skins and actually did a double take at it. It didn't look that bad :O I did something - I swore to myself I'd never do: I modified my shape to fit this skin. Mainly just my lips, but still.

Then, instead of packing up more boxes to end the night, I decided to pretend I'm a photographer, snap some photos and post process them. xD I'm such a procrastinator, its really sad. I have 2 days until I move, and I'm still sitting here playing with photos and blogging. xD

I think, the photos I did turned out pretty darn good. I found out how to put a pattern in the background the easy way, and found out how to take a green screen out of the SL photo. I love this skin on me, and I actually think I might keep it for a while. Jeffry doesn't seem to mind, he seems to be like the 'whatever makes you happy' kind of mood with skins. xD


I even cropped it a bit, to make this my new profile photo! \o/ Can I just say, how much I love love love the lips on this skin? I'm really not fond of the eyebrows, and I can't seem to get them how I like them, but the lips make the face worth it. :D And yes, I LOVE this Farrah hair... its so perfect for photos. And don't even get me started on the clothes I bought from fri.day during the Labor Day sale.... *fashion squee!*

Now, its time I run off to do some more procrastinating by taking a nap! :D

Yep. Doesn't seem like there was much interest in a store card sale. The busiest day for sales is always the day I send my notice out to my group (which actually hit 1300 members! :O zomg) and FashCon - but, it didn't do as well as I thought it would yesterday. Bah. Maybe it will pick up later on in the week. ^^ If this did well, I planned to do another one near Christmas - but I think I might have to rethink that. Ah well. That's a long time away.

So - yesterday was my RL birthday, and Kagic has been gone since Thursday night. So, I wanted to see him for a bit last night. :D He logged on a bit late, and we went to the skybox I set up a few days prior.

Its unbelievably dorky, and I am running out of skyboxes for various occasions. Good thing important days are rare :D I had a bit of a disaster though. I had the perfect gown, I resized it, tried it on, perfected each prim... But.. well, it was filled with alpha textures, and of course - the skybox is filled with alpha textures as well. So, when I stood in the skybox, it looked like I had no dress on. -.- I had to change, quickly. Luckily I found this gown sitting unused in my inventory, and it was totally adorable :D


I think I had a good night with him, and a good birthday. However, I did say some things last night to him that I probably shouldn't have. I am not sure if I should blog about it just yet, because I am still unsure about his thoughts on it. He seems to like to say "OK, sure" a lot to me, without ever telling me what he really thinks. O.o; So, depending on what he says about it tonight, I'll decide if I should mention it again or not xD

Bleh. My computer is starting to hate me. Occasionally, my SL client has been acting weird. While I was camped out at Illusions, waiting for the lucky chair the other day - I turned around to see my world in rainbow colors. O.o I took a pic:

Now, I'm pretty sure this is my graphics problem - but it only seems to happen occasionally, and really isn't much of a bother to me at all. Just a little weird to turn around and see rainbow trees XD I was watching Siyu landscape this portion of the island a few days ago, and it was totally amusing, surprisingly. Watching people play with big giant rocks is oddly fun. O.o

Oh, I changed the header over at my Fashion Blog, Fashion Labyrinth, and I am so in love with the pose. I made it to emphasize my ears, but every time I look at the pose, I giggle to myself. Its soooooo goofy XD Heh, here is the picture I took for my header, that shows more of the pose:


I love it :D Its almost a shame to keep it to myself, so I am wondering what I want to do with it. I don't think many people have elf ears, so they probably won't be interested. I think maybe I'll send it out to my group next week - maybe one person out of 600 would have a use for it :D Of course, if any of you want it, feel free to send me an IM, and I'll pass it to you ^^

Speaking of - I am so excited that today is the first day of my second sale at Imperial Elegance! This will be the second sale that IE has went through - and I think its even better than last time :D Last sale, was my big moving sale, and everything in the store was 50%. This time - I'm retiring older poses and making them $15L each~ I have learned so much more posing techniques since I started making them, that eventually I would love to go back and redo some of them, using my more "modern" techniques.

But before then, I have several pose sets I've started, but have yet to finish. Sword poses are pretty high on my list - but, I've become stuck... I mean, there is really only so many different poses you can do with dual swords. I've looked up Miyamoto Musashi artwork, because I know he practiced the two sword techniques (called the Nito Seiho, I think?)... but, there doesn't seem to be too much on him. I also have some despair poses to finish, but... again, there are only so many ways to cry. O.o;;; But, I am trying to get them out as soon as I can! :D In the meantime.... I'll give you a teaser pic!

As the Imperial Elegance sale comes to a close, I want to thank all of my customers who shared interest in it, purchased items, told their friends about it, congratulated me, and supported the successful move. Because I don't want to get all sappy and weird on the IE blog, I will do it here - because I know many customers read this blog as well.

When I first started SL, I looked at designers with envy, wondering how they can even afford a 512sq. meter plot of land. It seemed to be a dream that I would never be able to reach. However, I worked hard, attempting to reach that dream, and I am absolutely thrilled that I was able to gain ownership of a 2240 sq. meter piece of land (Thank you, Bats!). I do owe everything I have accomplished to the amazing customers that come into my shop, and my partner, Bats - who both inspire me to create, and try new things.

It really never occurred to me just how many people come to Imperial Elegance, and how many actually enjoy the things I put out - until I did this sale. I am sincerely grateful to you all, and I promise to keep working on putting out freebies and better items for you. *wipes tears away*

That said, once I re-price the vendors back to normal tonight, I will be going to bed - to prepare for a massively awesome day tomorrow. What happens, you ask?! OMG, two of the most amazing events happen tomorrow! ONE: The RFL Clothing Fair!!! *squees* zomg, I can not wait! TWO: OMG, the Sparkle Skye treasure hunt!!! I can not wait for this either - but... I hope the items are not too well hidden... because I do not do well with hunts, and I lose patience quickly. TT_TT

Ok, I'm going to rant about two things here for a second. Sorry if I offend anyone, but I'm just really irritated. Maybe I've been working on the new shop too much - I don't really know.

1. People advertising their "new fashion blog" in Fashion Emergency. Like, omg. Get it added to Fashion Planet, like everyone else does, and people will come if they feel like it. Its not right to do some lame self-promotion in a chat channel. Its always like: "Hey! I started a new fashion blog! Come see it! [insert link here]" Irritating. Then, whats worse - a phrase like this usually follows: "If you want me to review anything, please send them to me!" Yah. Whatever. As a designer, things like that turn me off to their blog. If you advertise your blog in FE and beg for review copies, you sure as hell are not going to get my page hit, nor review copies of any of products. Also, as a blogger - I would like people to send me copies because they are readers of mine, like my blog style, and genuinely want me to blog them. I will never pathetically beg for copies like that, and I am irritated that other people have no shame.
2. This one is a little more minor to the other one, but it still drives me nuts. DESIGNERS: PUT THE SLURL TO YOUR STORE IN YOUR BLOG POSTS! There is nothing more annoying than reading a blog post on Fashion Planet, really loving the product they are advertising, and not seeing a SLURL where I can go get it. I get incredibly frustrated, and because I'm lazy, I refuse to open my search box and search the shop name. So, I do not go to their shop, and I know several other people who do the same. Seriously though, designers - you need to make it easier for us shoppers to come to you.

Ok, I think I am done with my rant for the day. On a happier note, almost everything is completed for the new shop opening that is happening tomorrow!


FashCon/Group notecards are made - ready to be sent out, group freebies have been made, lucky chair is ready to be put in, ads up - waiting to be priced... omg, I'm totally excited about it. :D I put tons of work into this, and I'm glad to finally see it all coming together. My last sale at Imperial Elegance failed horribly, so I am anxious to see how this will play out.

I've decided to hold a sale at Imperial Elegance for when it opens in its bigger shop. I am excited - the last time I had a sale was back in like, September... and it flopped miserably. But I'm totally ready to try again!

I made these late last night, one to go in the shop, announcing the sale for people who arrive, and the other to go into the older shop, giving a LM to those who touch it. ^^ I'll even be putting the new releases on sale. Crazy? Probably. I spent this morning repricing copies of the notecards for the pose vendors, so all poses will be only $25L each ^^ I've already made ads for Wednesday's release, so I can focus my energy on moving all the vendors to the new space this weekend. This madness will start Wednesday the 12th, and go on until the end of the weekend. :D


I spent last night toying with some design ideas with Bats for the new shop. He told me that with the brown and blue tones, it has an outdoor, park-ish feel. He suggested putting in a tree. But because the sakura I had in my inventory was too giant and distracting, that wouldn't work. So, we headed to the Heart Garden Centre and checked things out. I picked up a few flowers (I wanted to stay with a blue/yellow flower theme). I think the planter turned out nice, and I believe this will be the final layout of the new shop.

Bats wanted me to have a giant party for the opening of the new shop, but I was totally against it. He is very social, so those types of things appeal to him... but I have zero social skills, and am quite terrified of people.... so I'd have been miserable if I was to put on a party. So, 50% off sale it was! Gives me something to be excited about doing, as well as something to give back to the great customers who have supported me. ^^

I'm trying to blog more, can't you tell? ^^ So, as I mentioned in my previous blog post, I mentioned I wanted pink furniture and a giant fluffy bunny for my little skybox workspace. And! After a few hours of saying "I wuub yooos" to the partner... he finally gave up and let me get them! Yay!

At first he wasn't sure, and wanted to see the furniture set I had in mind. Of course, I prepared in advance, and tp'ed him to the place with pink furniture. He didn't seem to mind the color, but noted that the poses suck. I agree, but... really, I stand on a pose stand all day, and have no interest in sitting on a couch. But still, he had to try every single pose, and made me pose with him. Well, I bought it anyway. And he doesn't ever come up to the workspace unless I ask him to, so there really is no need for poses. I'd take all the poseballs out if I could to save on prims, but, well... its no mod. Which sucks, because I'd love to even put my own animations in there.

I wanted a fur rug to put under the table, and tried to remember where I seen one. During CSR, I remembered seeing rugs at a particular place called Creamshop. They had tons of rugs, but not fur, as I originally wanted. I got a set of them anyway, thinking it would grow on me, but after seeing it under the furniture, I still preferred the fur. So, I hit up SLExchange, and found the perfect one. It was $200L, and came with a cuddle pose. I took off the cuddle pose, and only used the rug... its exactly what I wanted! No nekos or furries were harmed in the making of the rug :P


As for the next thing I wanted... I actually *guiltily* bought even before asking him. My finger acted on its own, I swear! So, I call him Fluffeh. Its short for "My Fluffeh Bunneh". ^^ I seen this around the grid for a while, but really only decided I wanted one during the Creators Stamp Rally. A small kitty arm attachment was a prize, and I got it. It was so cute! Now I got meself a giant bunneh. ^^

I am utterly in shock of the things Bats lets me rez on the land sometimes. Like, everything I ever wanted, he didn't have a problem with. If he had told me he wanted a giant bunny... I'd have looked at him like he was nuts. And pink furniture? Yeah, that would just be weird.

I sooo love my little workspace. Even when I received the notice from Illusions about their retirement sale today, I didn't want to leave! Though, I did will myself to go, and picked up some amazing masks for very cheap!

Have you been to ETD's amazing sale yet? I guess the sale was only going to run until today, but because of SL problems, they decided to extend the sale until Friday, which is great because it gave me a chance to check it out! Most of the styles are around $50L to $75L per pack. Every pack I bought was $50L, so that was pretty sweet.

This sale is amazingly incredible, so if you haven't been there yet, you should check it out right away! I've already made two trips up there. So, go brave the lag and teleport away!

Yep, Reel Movement is having a (at least) 25% off everything sale here in Lalique, so you know where I just spent every linden that I owned. Lets see, I ended up walking out of this shop with the pose sets: Runway, Classy, High Fashion, High Fashion 2, and Innocent.

I really love the fact that the poses are mod/copy/no trans because this way, I can put the poses in my model studio, my HUDDLES, and keep a back up in my inventory. Super cool.
