Have you ever wanted to do something, and was so excited when it finally worked out? Yep, that was me last week, when I forced myself to sit down and learn how to make a bento pose. It was a little difficult, as there's not much 'bento pose making tutorials' out there, so I really had to just... figure it out on my own. I'm pretty good with doing that though, if I was to be honest. If there's something I want to learn how to do, or want to figure out, I will keep trying until I succeed. I can sure be determined when I want to be!

[SRB] Bento Posing

I mean, the pose wasn't really *spectacular*, but, I was so pleased with myself that I figured out how to move the fingers! It's not my favorite program (Poser), as I had to learn how to pose in Blender, which is not a strong point for me. But I'm learning. And I'm getting better with each pose.

If you're interested in these bento poses I made, I have listed them on the marketplace for rather cheap.

Oops. I forgot to mention that my second skybox was finished and put up on the Second Life Marketplace for purchase. This one has 2 rooms, for whatever purpose you want to use them for (I intended one to be a study, the other to be a living room), a kitchen/dining room area, a small patio, and a bedroom.

[ImpEle] The Abana

This skybox is pink and a little girly, but perfect for spring. I think it turned out pretty cute. I put sculpted doors and windows in this one, and my standard arches. I love doorway arches. I can't get enough of them.

And yes, I did turn on shadows to take these photos, they don't have that super-fancy baked lighting stuff. If you want to buy the skybox, it's here for a simple $40L. :)

I actually started created something again! No, not poses, but a prefab! Jeffry and I moved out of our parcel on Bluebonnet, we aren't in SL together much to really justify such a large chunk of land anymore... So, we got a smaller piece of land, and we needed a new house.

I couldn't find a prefab I really liked - so I made my own. I've been working on it on and off for the past couple weeks, and I finally finished it. I wasn't really intending to put it up for sale, but I was pleased with how it came out, so I thought I would share it. It's called "The Halona", and if you want to check it out, you can find it on the marketplace here. (By the way, it's only $40L!)

Also, in other news, I took the time last weekend to actually put my [ImpEle] poses on the marketplace. Because I don't have an in-world store anymore for people to try out the poses, they are super cheap! Only about $15L per pose pack. And yes, the free animation overrides are back.

But other than that, I have been switching back and forth between World of Warcraft and Second Life. Sometimes I can't decide which of the two I want to do, so I find myself logged into both at once, flipping back and forth. I'm skilled like that. Yep.

I was working on poses yesterday, and finally have a set that will be released tomorrow. So, a preview of a pose in that set:

So, with all the 365 posts, I've kinda forgotten to do normal blogging. xD I did mention in a 365 post, I finished my new build for my store, and lowered my prices a bit. I'm actually quite excited about it, I've been uninspired for a long time, and this build has just been sitting around, doing nothing.

new-store-03

So, the other day, I decided to finish it, upload all the vendor photos with new pricing, and finish my project. It took longer than I expected, but in the end, I think it was worth the time I spent. Everything is done, more attractive looking, and hopefully more appealing to customers.

Lowering the prices was a big decision for me. But, back when I started making them, the market was kind of... limited. There were the big names, and that was it. I mainly made them for myself, and started to sell them, at the average price. But as more and more people started making poses, the prices drop further, so I hope my pricing is more competitive with other creators. Pose sets are now $350L, discount pose sets are $150L, and couple's poses are $50L.

I also went through and took some sets I wasn't happy with anymore, and sent them to the discount section. Eventually I plan to remake a few of them, but when I have more time. Right now with the holidays, finding time to do much of anything makes me have faces like this: @_@

I am most pleased with the center piece that graces the center of the store. The original sculpture is called "Life" and is a great creation from Yabusaka - and I wanted to theme the little fountain around it. I put some plants around it to really go with the Life theme. I think it looks really cute, and also fits the way I want to portray my store's image.

And, a quick photo from Aion. Definitely made me have a total LOL moment. The smaller character is mine.. and I'm average sized.

OMG I almost missed day 3 of the BBBC. I'm going to be a rebel again and blog about something other than the topic :D So, I'll blog about - the finished ImpEle build! \o/

finished-store-03

Yes, yes. Its giant, and there is a whole wall of emptiness. But I'm hoping to fill it up soon :D

finished-store-02

Wheee! Flowers, flowers all over the place! Its summery, fresh looking, and totally fun :D

finished-store-01

My poses actually filled up almost a whole wall :O

Build, texutre, build, texture. The story of the second life I live now. Finishing this build has become my obsession, and I am determined to finish it by Wednesday. I've decided on textures, and am now in the process of finishing up on aligning them.

impele-summer-02

ImpEle will be the new name. The name, Imperial Elegance is way long, and really not an image I want to portray anymore. So, ImpEle - is just Imperial Elegance shortened. I've been contemplating this change for months, and finally decided to go ahead with it, as I got bored with positioning prim letters for a long name.

impele-summer-03

I was kinda bummed with how the stairs turned out. They looked great with plywood, but they didn't texture well. Ah well. I still like them. :D

impele-summer-01

There is a ton of empty space, and there probably will remain a ton of empty space for a while. XD My little building before this one only filled half the walls, and this is at least twice as big.

impele-summer-04

The pillars! OMG, I have to say little about them. The number one thing I hate most about building anything, is picking out the textures. I usually find a floor and/or wall I like, but everything else... I have no idea, and am so picky, that I never find anything that looks good. I spent a whole day sitting, brooding over what type of texture to put on them. The second I slapped on this texture, it was perfect, and I immediately loved it. :D

Its turning out really, really well. I'm very excited to finish it. :D

Wow, I was still inspired to build, even after finishing the staircases! :O So, I started out with the pillars, banisters and trim. I think it looks pretty good. Its extremely primmy, but I do have quite a bit of prims to play with, so that's good. :D

ie-summer-build-02

I am kinda pleased how its turned out so far. Its still far from being finished, but I am sooooo glad I'm inspired to start working again. I've had so many ideas for new poses, I hope I feel up to making more and more stuff after I finish my build :D

ie-summer-build-01

I love how the stairs turned out - they look so awesome. And, I do owe a special thank you to a friend who gave me an awesome tool to help me out with them - just as I was about to rip out my hair. :D

vendor-preview

The coolest thing, which I am totally excited about - are the new vendors. I've always wanted to try some new animation vendor design, which is different from everything else. I'm tired of seeing the boring circle/square platforms with arrows - so to keep up with my summer, bright and happy theme, I bought some cool lilies, and put them down for my vendors. :D

Also, today was a day I've been waiting for, for months. The Sims 3 came out today! \o/ I've had it on preorder for weeks, and I marched my little ass up to the GameStop closest to my house right when they opened at 10am - and had my copy of The Sims 3 by 10:05am. And naturally, I had to snap some screenshots. ^^

the-sims-3pic2

Its so much better than I expected. The graphics are awesome, my computer has no problems playing it, the sims look so much better than they did in The Sims 2, and Sai has a total happeh when playing it.

It was an awesome break from building my new store, and I'm totally excited to see what awesome custom content will be coming out.
